General

1. The promotion is open to residents of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and Channel Islands only, excluding employees and their immediate families of the RAC, Norwich Union and Aviva, their agencies or anyone else professionally connected.
2. Entrants must be 17 years or over and hold a full driving licence. RAC may ask any entrant to provide proof of age and/ or country of residence.
3. The promotion begins on Friday 11th April 2008 and closes before the first race of the day at Brands Hatch on 21st September 2008. More information regarding race times can be found at www.teamrac.co.uk
4. No purchase necessary - in order to be entered a person must first register their details either on the website or on a manual form.
5. To enter you will be required to supply a valid email address. Entries without a valid email address will not be included.
6. Online registrations can be accepted until the first race of the day. More information regarding race times and dates can be found at www.teamrac.co.uk.
7. All manual forms must be returned to the Direct Sales Force or Promotional Staff on the day.
8. Once you have registered we will allocate you a) a race venue b) a Team RAC driver c) a race number d) a lap number e) fastest lap time.
9. Once registered you can request a new lap time every 24 hours. Each accepted request will result in an additional lap time and race details being supplied. You can only request a lap time for the next race day.
10. The more lap times you request the more times you will be entered into the promotion.
11. Lap times are randomly generated and will be supplied within 3 seconds of the last fastest lap by a Team RAC driver at that course.
12. In the event of an entrant's email address becoming inaccessible during the promotion, 'RAC' are not able to retrieve and amend any existing entries to a new email address.
13. By entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions.
14. The names and counties of prize winners will be available upon request by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to; BD NETWORK RAC promotion, Tea Building, 56 Shoreditch High Street, London, E1 6PQ after 31st October 2008.
15. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to provide alternative prizes of equal or greater value. In all cases the promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No cash alternative will be offered in whole or in part.
16. Limitations of liability: neither the promoter nor the promotional parties assume any responsibility or liability for:
    1. Any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions
    2. Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this promotion
    3. Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof
    4. Postal strikes and non delivery of manual entries
    5. Any injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the promotion
    6. Non or late receipt of manual slips by the Direct Sales Force or Promotional Staff. Manual forms returned to the promoter by the Direct Sales Force or Promotional Staff after the Monday prior to the Sunday race will be entered into the following race.
17. All winners will by emailed if they have won. Losing entries will not receive any notification. If the promoter is unable to contact the winners within 30 working days, the prize will be forfeited.
18. The award may not be transferred to any other person or charity without permission in writing of RAC.
19. Winners may be expected to and must be willing to take part in publicity related to the winning of prizes in this promotion.

Win a BMW Free Prize Draw

20. Receiving a lap time will automatically enter you into the promotion where there is one BMW 320i M Sport and nine fastest lap prizes available to be won.
21. The winner of the BMW 320i M Sport will be randomly selected from all lap times requested over the promotion period.
22. The winner will be notified by email by Wednesday 24th September. To obtain your prize, simply follow the instructions detailed in your winners' confirmation email.
23. The BMW 320i M Sport will not be the same as the Team RAC BMW 320si shown in the promotion communication and will not include full livery.
24. The free breakdown cover supplied with the BMW is RAC Solutions 3 Single Cover. Full details can be found at www.rac.co.uk
25. The RAC will source and provide fully comprehensive insurance for one year.

Winner of a Fastest Lap Prize

26. There will be one fastest lap prize to be won at each of the nine BTCC races starting with the second race of the season at Rockingham on Sunday 13th April.
27. To win a fastest lap prize you will need to have the lap time closest to the fastest lap carried out by a TEAM RAC driver. This will be decided, in this order, by: i) Exact match of driver, race number, lap number and lap time. ii) Closest lap time by lap number. iii) Closest lap time by race number. iv) Closest lap time by driver. The official lap times will be the same as the official records on the RAC website (www.teamrac.co.uk).
28. Winners of a fastest lap prize can choose from one of five prizes which will be displayed on www.teamrac.co.uk
29. Only one winner per event. If two people are equidistant to the fastest lap by a Team RAC driver of the day the winner will be selected at random.
30. If both drivers record identical fastest lap times at the same race, the first completed fastest lap time will be deemed to be the fastest and used for the competition.
31. Winners will be notified by email within 48 hours of the final race of the day. To obtain your prize, simply follow the instructions detailed in your winners' confirmation email.
